On April 21, the 730 BHP Ferrari 599XX driven by Ferrari test pilot Raffaele De Simone set a record for the 20.83 km (12.67 miles) long Nordschleife in Nurburgring with a time of 6.58,16 min. According to Ferrari, this is the record for the fastest production-based sportscar. It is a very respectable time indeed.
